Derek was pretty much sick for his whole 6 months and part of 7 months of his life (about 6 weeks total!). It was aweful! He started with congestion and bad breathing to where he had to sleep in a swing for 5 nights, then the coughing started. That seemed to continue to wake him at night and make him pretty miserable. He seemed to be getting better when he relapsed and got a really runny nose, the cough came back, and he got an ear infection. He is finally feeling better (Thank God!) and is back to his happy self. Despite feeling pretty crapy though, Derek always kept a smile on his face. Which you will see in his pictures below. You can tell how pale he is in some of these pics though. Poor thing!
So Derek is now almost 8 months and weighs 23 pounds. He is pretty much 100 percentile for both height and weight. He already is fitting in 18 month clothing!! So crazy! He is crawling around like crazy, which I will post some video of, and pulling himself to standing on pretty much anything. Tim and I have really stepped up the baby proofing now.
Derek is already wanting daddy to teach him how to shave =)
